Irregular Periods And Infertility

Irregular periods can indeed cause problems if you are trying to conceive. Normal menstrual cycles have been found to be as much as four times more fertile than cycles that are ten days or more outside the normal range! Four times greater, can you believe that?!

So we must first know what is considered the ‘normal range’ for a cycle to be considered regular? Well the ideal length is 28 days however many experts conclude that anywhere between 25 to 35 days can be considered normal.

A once off ’strange’ sort of cycle is no need for concern as this can be caused by a sleepless night, a few too many parties that month and even dieting. However a fairly consistent pattern of irregular cycles means that you need to pay some attention to what your body is trying to tell you.

You see, your body sends out many signals and they all mean something that can help you to understand what might be going wrong if you are having trouble getting pregnant. I will be covering off in the future some of the very common irregularities and what they are saying about your fertility status.

The good news is that although many symptoms associated with irregular periods are troubling, there are a great deal of ways to go about improving them. Start today by writing down some of the daily changes you experience throughout your monthly cycle. Look for my future posts on solutions to common period irregularities and work on becoming one of the women with the four times greater chance of conceiving!
