Trying To Conceive Second Time Round?

If you’ve had a baby before and trying to get pregnant second time round it is easy to think that you will get pregnant easily…why wouldn’t you, your body’s done it before right? Well it’s not always the case that it will be any easier than the first time. In fact it can come as a big shock for some women who found it easy to get pregnant the first time when they can’t get pregnant quickly the second time.

Secondary infertility is the ‘official’ name given to those of us who have already had a baby but for some reason or another are struggling to conceive second time round. Well that is what the crux of secondary infertility can often be about. We don’t know why, it puzzles us no end and it logically doesn’t add up. However, the delicate dance required for conception can sometimes be underestimated and just a few simple lifestyle changes and you can wave goodbye to maximising your chances of getting pregnant.

Things such as increasing your coffee or chocolate intake will negatively affect your fertility. Or a lack of certain nutrients in your body that are critical to your reproductive health. Perhaps your health was better with your first conception but you have drained your stores of vital elements, such as the B group vitamins. And this is just you. Your partner has a big part to play also, so if their lifestyle habits have deteriorated somewhat then that too will contribute to a delay when trying to conceive second time round.
